How far in advance should I schedule my move?

We recommend scheduling at least 2–4 weeks in advance. However, we do accept last-minute bookings based on availability.

How do I book my move with Top Houston Movers?

Can I make changes to my booking after confirming?

Yes, just give us at least 48 hours' notice to make adjustments without penalty.

What time will the movers arrive?

You’ll receive a time window during booking and confirmation the day before. We strive to be punctual and communicate clearly.

Do you charge for travel time?

Travel time may be included in your quote, especially for jobs outside of central Houston. We'll always be transparent about this.

What happens if there's bad weather on my moving day?

We operate in most weather conditions. If severe weather poses a risk, we’ll work with you to reschedule at no extra cost.

What should I expect on moving day?

Our team will arrive on time, review your inventory, protect your belongings, load the truck, and transport everything safely.

Do I need to provide moving equipment?

No, we bring all necessary equipment including dollies, straps, blankets, and tools.

Can you move heavy or oversized items?

Yes, we move pianos, safes, large furniture, and more. Please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly

Should I tip the movers?

Tipping is appreciated but not required. Many clients tip 10–20% based on satisfaction.

Do I need to empty drawers or cabinets?

We recommend emptying drawers for safety and to prevent damage during transport.

What if something gets damaged during the move?

We take every precaution, but if damage occurs, we’ll resolve it promptly under our coverage policy.

Do you offer packing and unpacking services?

Yes, we provide full and partial packing services tailored to your needs, using high-quality materials.

What items should I pack myself?

Pack personal documents, jewelry, cash, heirlooms, medications, and firearms yourself for safety and privacy.

Can you supply packing materials?

Absolutely. We can deliver boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and more before your move.

Do you label boxes for me?

If you choose our packing service, yes—we label all boxes clearly by room and contents.

Will you disassemble and reassemble my furniture?

Yes, our movers can handle furniture disassembly and reassembly as needed.

How should I prepare appliances for the move?

Unplug and clean your fridge, disconnect washers/dryers, and secure all cords. We can guide you further when you book.
